Meaning: use it to encourage and motivate someone; it means that the person has the ability and potential to succeed
Examples:
Come on! You can do it! You’ve been studying hard. When you get it, you’ll be able to get a better job.
You have a big presentation tomorrow, but I believe in you. You can do it!
Don’t worry about the exam. Just stay focused and remember, you can do it!

Meaning: express the possibility that things will turn out well and positively, providing a sense of optimism and hope
Examples:
If you give it a try, it might work out fine. What have you got to lose anyway?
This is a great opportunity for you. You know there are risks with everything, but it might work out fine.
How To Encourage Someone In English
don’t/never give up
Meaning: continue trying and not lose hope, even in challenging or difficult situations
Examples:
If you want to reach a C1 level in English, don’t give up. With consistent effort, you can make significant progress.
Don’t give up. Sometimes, after a long search, you might have a ‘eureka’ moment of discovery.
Don’t give up! You can do it. Just run a little more slowly. You’ll get there.
I’m sure it’ll be fine
Meaning: we believe things will go well and we’re encouraging a positive outlook

I’m sure it will be fine. Things always work out at the end.
I’m sure it’ll be fine. Don’t overthink it.
I’m sure it’ll be fine. Let’s see what happens.

Meaning: there’s always a chance for something good to happen; stay positive
Examples:
You never know what opportunities might come your way, so stay open to possibilities.
If you enter the competition, you never know! You might have a bit of inspiration and surprise everyone.
Enter the art competition, be your best self, and you never know what exciting things could happen.

Meaning: continue doing well and not give up
Examples:
Keep up the good work. You’re doing really well. The last project was such a success.
Keep at it. We’re getting there, things are improving. You’re really settling in well.
give it a try
Meaning: take a chance on something new or challenging. It encourages you to explore and see what happens
Examples:
Give it a try. You’re doing really well. The last project was such a success.
If you lack confidence in taking the driving test, I encourage you to give it a try.

Meaning: take a risk or try something new because there is little to lose and much to gain
Examples:
Why not talk to your manager about taking on more responsibilities? What do you have to lose?
Why not join the singing competition? What have you got to lose? It could be a bit of fun!

Meaning: persevere and continue working hard towards your goals
Examples:
Keep pushing yourself to be better every day, and you’ll achieve great things.
Keep pushing! Don’t let the soreness stop you. Each workout helps you feel better about yourself.
hang in there
Meaning: persevere and stay strong during difficult times
Examples:
Hang in there! You can do it.
No matter how tough things get, just hang in there and keep pushing forward.
